Playing House

My name is Sydney. I’m 13 years old. When I was 7, my mom was on drugs, and I knew she was using. We used to go to this lady’s house, and she and my mom would go to a room and smoke and sniff…etc. One day, I was downstairs and the lady’s son called my name I ran up to see what he needed. He asked me to play house. I was 7 and when you’re 7 you loved playing house. So yes, I did say yes.

It was fun at first then he said it was bedtime and I went to lay on the extra bed and he said “nope you get to sleep with me.” I went in the bed and he grabbed my areas and it hurt. I told him to stop. He wouldn’t and I tried to push him off, but he was 17 and was a lot heavier than me. He forced himself inside me and I started to scream and no one came to save me. My mom was so drugged up, she couldn’t hear me crying and screaming. I wanted him to stop, but he wouldn’t. He did that to me for three years. He still lives in the same town as me and I see him a lot around town. He stares at me. I feel useless.
